Ad Futura Scholarships are intended to improve professional competence, ensure human resources for development and innovation in various scientific fields, and enable the transfer of knowledge and good practices to enhance the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy.

Encouraging study abroad and shorter study mobilities or exchanges abroad is an important component of the internationalisation of higher education and in various ways contributes to increasing the competitiveness and employability of young people. Students with international mobility experience undoubtedly stand out on the labour market, as they strengthen their knowledge of one or even several languages abroad, which employers consider an advantage when hiring. In addition, during mobility students also undergo personal growth. When moving abroad and integrating into a new environment, they encounter a different culture and habits and often face entirely unexpected difficulties and challenges. Coping with these situations contributes to their flexibility and creativity in finding solutions and consequently to independence in decision-making and maturity, which are essential qualities for career success. Moreover, they also acquire intercultural competences, communication skills, a network of contacts, and many other experiences.
