For Participation of a Slovenian Pupil in the Benjamin Franklin International Summer Institute

The scholarship is awarded to a pupil accepted to the Benjamin Franklin Summer Institute in the USA. This is a 3–4 week summer school intended for young people interested in transatlantic relations, the role of free media in democracy, and civic engagement, who wish to gain education in these fields. The aim of the initiative is to encourage connections between American and European youth and raise awareness of shared values and cultural ties.

A pupil accepted to the summer school.

Scholarship Amount

The scholarship generally covers the cost of air travel between an airport in Slovenia and the USA (depending on the location of the summer school), summer school fees, and a one-time allowance in the amount determined by the U.S. Embassy in Slovenia.

Obligations

The scholarship holder must submit a report after completing the study visit and demonstrate that the summer school was recognized or accredited by the educational institution in Slovenia as part of the obligations of the study program.


The scholarship amount, conditions, criteria, and selection criteria are specified in the public call, which also defines the application deadline and the documentation to be submitted by the applicant.
