The subject of this public call is the provision of scholarships for participants of the Fulbright Program, Generation 2027, enabling the academic exchange for citizens of the Republic of Slovenia (hereinafter referred to as: RS) in the United States of America (hereinafter referred to as: USA) and for citizens of the USA in the RS. Participants in Fulbright Generation 2027 must be approved by the competent authority in the USA and must conduct most of their academic exchange period during the 2027/2028 academic year.
Total Value of the Call: The total value of this public call is EUR 130,000.00.
Amount of Available Funds: Citizens of the RS may receive the following funding for the academic exchange in the USA:
- Reimbursement of travel costs in the student and scholar categories, corresponding to the value of the most economical return airfare in economy class from an airport in the RS (or, in exceptional cases, from another departure airport) to the appropriate airport in the USA1 based on the location of the host institution.
- A scholarship in the student category, as determined by the competent authority in the USA, if such a scholarship is not already provided.
U.S. citizens may receive funding for their visit to the Republic of Slovenia to cover the costs of mandatory health insurance in Slovenia for each month of the visit, as well as a scholarship for each full month of the visit in the following gross amounts:
- 850.00 € if visiting under the student category, or
- 1,050.00 € if visiting under the scholar category.
Beneficiaries will be eligible for funding linked to the duration of the academic exchange for up to the number of months approved by the competent authority in the USA.
Deadline: Until the funds are exhausted, but no later than September 29, 2028.
