Co-funding staff scholarships
The prime objective of the provision of scholarship is to raise the educational level of young people.
The purpose of company scholarships is to link human resources with the employment sphere. Long-term HR planning can help companies develop the employers’ needs and in this way encourage the development of the company. A company scholarship can be an opportunity for both the employer and the scholarship recipient to get to know one another, and to develop common interests in the direction that is beneficial for both.
The Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities is the key partner of our institution, especially regarding scholarships. A strong cooperation with regional development agencies is also important since a part of company scholarships is implemented through the regional scholarship schemes.
The purpose of company scholarships within the framework of regional scholarship schemes is to set up a system of incentives for linking education with the needs of the labour market, with the purpose of eliminating the structural imbalances in employment, improving the qualification structure of human resources and increasing employability in the region. European Social Fund co-finances activities of regional scholarship schemes.
Important Achievements for the period 2008-2015 for the company scholarships programme (regional scholarship schemes):
- more than 3.450 scholarship recipients
- integration of students into the work process,
- improved connection between the educational system and the labour market,
- young people returned from education centres back to home region,
- provision of quality human resources to employers and
- more than EUR 16.700.000 invested.
